Living in Galle or Unawatuna as an Expat? Here's How to Access Authentic Ayurveda at Your Door

Southern Sri Lanka has become one of the most sought-after destinations in Asia for foreign expats, digital nomads, and long-stay visitors. Galle, Unawatuna, Hikkaduwa, and Mirissa attract a remarkable international community — people drawn by the ocean, the climate, the pace of life, and increasingly by Sri Lanka's exceptional wellness offerings. If you are among them, the CeylonAyurway Home Wellness Subscription was designed with you specifically in mind.
The Expat Wellness Challenge in Southern Sri Lanka
We know from conversations with international patients that accessing consistent, authentic healthcare in a new country is one of the most common challenges expats face. You may have discovered CeylonAyurway on a trip to Galle and experienced our treatments at the centre — but maintaining that care from a villa in Unawatuna or a rental in Mirissa, without a vehicle, without knowing the roads, and working across time zones that make daytime appointments difficult, is another matter entirely.
The CeylonAyurway Home Wellness Subscription removes every one of these barriers. Your practitioner comes to you — at your villa, guesthouse, or rental — at a time you choose, bringing authentic Ayurvedic care directly to your door. You stay in Southern Sri Lanka's finest environment and receive the same quality of care you would get at our centre.
Why Consistent Ayurvedic Care Matters More for Long-Stay Visitors
One of the most important differences between a holiday experience and a long-stay lifestyle is the opportunity for consistent care. A tourist visiting Sri Lanka for two weeks might have one or two Ayurvedic sessions — pleasant, beneficial, but limited in their lasting impact. An expat or long-stay visitor in Galle for six months or more has the genuine opportunity to experience Ayurveda as it is meant to be experienced: as a continuous, cumulative healthcare practice that progressively restores and maintains balance. The Home Wellness Subscription makes this possible for the first time without requiring you to schedule and travel to a clinic every fortnight.
Which Plan Is Right for You?
Serenity Visit — LKR 8,500 per month
If you are settling into life in Unawatuna, Hikkaduwa, or Mirissa and want to begin exploring regular Ayurvedic care, the Serenity Visit is the ideal starting point. One home visit per month, including a 30-minute consultation and 45-minute Abhyanga treatment, gives you consistent contact with a qualified CeylonAyurway practitioner who builds knowledge of your health over time. Monthly Dosha assessment and written lifestyle and diet recommendations help you make the most of your time in Sri Lanka's healing environment.
Balance Plus — LKR 18,500 per month
For expats and long-stay visitors who want meaningful ongoing Ayurvedic health management, Balance Plus is our most popular plan. Fortnightly visits with a full physician consultation and choice of treatment — Abhyanga, Shirodhara, or Udvartana — create the clinical rhythm that produces genuinely progressive health improvements over the months of your stay. Priority WhatsApp access to the CeylonAyurway team between visits means expert guidance is never more than a message away, regardless of what time zone your work operates across. Many of our international expat subscribers tell us that the Balance Plus plan has become the cornerstone of their health routine in Sri Lanka.
Royal Wellness — LKR 35,000 per month
For foreign residents who want the most comprehensive Ayurvedic health management available — weekly visits, a monthly personalised herbal medicine kit delivered to your home, a dedicated CeylonAyurway wellness manager, and direct access to Dr. Rajitha Perera's team — the Royal Wellness plan provides a level of care that few wellness destinations in the world can match, delivered to your home in Southern Sri Lanka. If your health goals are ambitious, if you are managing a specific chronic condition, or if you simply believe that investing seriously in your health is one of the most valuable things you can do while living in Sri Lanka, this is your plan.
Authentic Ayurveda — Not a Spa Version
We understand that international visitors are often sceptical about wellness services marketed as Ayurvedic but delivering something closer to a generic spa experience. CeylonAyurway has been practising authentic, physician-led Ayurvedic medicine for fifteen years. Our home visit service uses the same medicated oils prepared at our centre, the same herbal medicines, and the same clinical assessment process as our in-centre treatments. Your practitioner is a qualified professional, not a massage therapist with a weekend Ayurveda certificate. This distinction matters — and our expat patients can feel the difference.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to provide any equipment for the home visit treatment?
No. Your practitioner arrives with all treatment materials including portable equipment, medicated oils, and any required accessories. You simply need to have a comfortable space — a bedroom or living room is perfect.
Can I book a home visit for a one-time session without subscribing?
The Home Wellness Subscription is a monthly plan service. For one-time visits, we recommend coming to our centre in Galle. However, if you are planning to stay in the area for several months, a monthly subscription will always offer better value and significantly better health outcomes.
Is the service available if I move between different locations along the southern coast?
Please let us know your locations in advance and we will do our best to accommodate movement within our service area. Some flexibility is possible for established subscribers.
Can I receive treatment in my villa's outdoor space or garden?
Yes, in many cases. Weather permitting, our practitioners can work in a shaded outdoor space. Please discuss this preference when scheduling.
How do I communicate with the team if English is my only language?
All CeylonAyurway communications — including home visit consultations — are conducted in English. Our team is fully accustomed to working with international patients.
